Zippers & Tongues

I'm sitting at Spot Coffee at First & Last: Arts & Crafts...hoping for a sale by the end of the night (it's been pretty slow so far).

I finished up a new monster while I was here...


SURPRISE! He has a tongue!
The tongue was actually an afterthought. I'd set him out on my table after I was finished with him, and later, after I'd finished up another monster and was putting it out on the table, I looked at my zippermouth guy and thought "He needs a tongue!"

"Say Ahhhhh!"...I felt like I was doing oral surgery!

If no one buys him tonight, I'll be listing him in my Etsy Shop.

First & Last is getting some free press lately! YAY!

There's a news article here at our local newspaper's website, and my sources say one of the local news stations shot a segment yesterday...

"RNews came by Spot today and filmed a little segment outside about the craft show and this will be airing on saturday and News 10's PatMagonigal will be announcing the show on air through out theweekend!"

I wish I was doing the show tonight!

Raffle Basket

First & Last Arts & Crafts is having a raffle this weekend to raise money for us to advertise the show more. This is a picture of the prize basket. And guess who's in there! My Easter Nubbins!

KiraArts News (March 9th)

Here's a quick recap of what's been going on in KiraArts' land this past week/weekend...

• Woo Hoo! I just hit 50 "hearts" on Etsy! (I know..."big deal" right? "Tell me when you make it to 100". Hey, fifty is a lot for a small time Etsy girl like me!)

• In other news...I sent out another box o' monsters out to Vegas to Mystery Rider. And he was nice enough to make this little mini-commercial for me on You Tube!
  
  

• Here's a rather fuzzy look at my rather fuzzy monsters at a not-really-so-fuzzy table at the First & Last: Arts & Crafts show at Spot on Friday.

• I added some of my art into the mix of monsters this week...and actually had a girl comission a piece based on the Luna Moth painting seen in the basket...

• I finished up 4 more sock monsters while I was sitting at the show (I like using the time there to get a lot of hand-sewing done). They'll be up on my Etsy shop soon.

Here's a peek a some of my fellow artists' tables at the "First & Last: Arts & Crafts" Show at Spot...

This is Becky's table. Becky and her boyfriend Mike are the ones who've organized the whole show. She does a lot of different things...paintings, purses, rings, and some other stuff.

My favorite thing she does is make rings out of buttons.

And this is Tori's table. Tori does pottery. You can check out her Etsy shop here. Being around her has inspired me to bust out my pottery wheel and throw some pots.
