Monster Story Contest

I just saw this book Woolyhoodwinks vs. the Dark Patch via an article on the Craft: Blog.
Seeing this book reminded me of an idea I had a while ago, that was actually also suggested recently by one of my friends on Facebook...to make a storybook using my monsters as characters.

So, I want to hold a contest. If I am going to make a storybook...I need a story. That's where you, my readers come in (however few of you there may be). Give me an idea for a story. Come up with it yourselves or a fun idea may be to ask your kids. The one I like best I will attempt to make into a storybook...and may give out a prize for the best story as well!

"The best kind of prize is a sur-prize!" (extra points if you can tell me where I got this quote from!)

hmm, a theme eh?

How about how the sock monster moved in, and then the monster in the closet/under the bed was so afraid of it that he ran away and never came back.

I don't know what the story will be about but it needs to take place in the "outskirts of the thicket".

Oh...now I know where the socks go when they turn up missing from the laundry. But how did they go from the laundry basket to the washer and then dryer and...then pooph!
MISSING SOCK. Each chapter will tell how each individual sockmonster got to be a lovable sock monster. This will make it a series possible never ending series of sock monsters and their friends. They take adventures with their human friends to many different "educational" places. You could teach any subject through their experiences. Geography...moved from New York to Kansas. Weather...tornado experence. New York City and the statue of Liberty. or exotic trips to the orient. Oops one must have gotten lost and found himself in Fort Stanwix or at the Zoo.
