Hair Appointment with Mom

On Thursday, I went with my mother to our favorite hairdresser, Rochelle. And even though I'd love to have that purpleish black color I had last summer, I didn't have my hair colored, since everyone (Mom, Rochelle, CJ, and my friends) seems to really like the grey/white streaks I have at my temples. And for some reason, I'm ready to embrace my inner old-lady. But I did have it cut into layers again, which I'm loving!

This is a picture of the back of my hair. This isn't a great picture, since I took it myself (and it's harder than you'd think to take a picture of the back of your head! I should have had Mom take a picture). Rochelle always does this lovely little french braids when she's done cutting my hair. I wish I could french braid my hair! I always hate having to take the braids out the next day (because they get all frizzy after i sleep in them!) The button & feather clip is from my friend Casey of PeachesProducts (she has more for sale in her Etsy shop!). I traded her one of my plush barn owls for it when we were at UBCon!

Rochelle put some fun color into the underside of mom's hair...

As well as some on top...

I love her curls in this picture!

I bought her that hair clip from a chainmail jewelry maker that was at UBCon called Elegance in Chains. You can check out their Etsy shop here.

This is a pic I took of myself today. You can't really see the layers in my hair in this picture, but trust me, they're there...and they make me feel gorgeous! I just took this picture because i was feeling pretty. :P

The funny thing is, for years I didn't know that you could have a haircut where you could still have long hair. Layers are the best! :)

The metal flower hair clip.. could that be from "A Case of Random"? that Etsy shop has metal flower hair clips and chain mail.
